A comment, and a piece of poetry by Coleridge was brought up in the previous post, and I thought I would share with those who don’t go through the comment sections. This is another example of designers looking to other arts as ways to find inspiration to create great spaces in the designed landscape.
Thanks “b” for sharing this. I would ask other Designers, or Gardeners who read here if they have a particular piece of poetry that inspires them in their love of design/nature, or just strikes them as appropriate in any way, and they would wish to share.
I’ll take them out of the comments section and post them so all can take a look.
“Therefore all seasons shall be sweet to thee, whether the summer clothe the general earth with greenness,
or the redbreast sit and sing betwixt the tufts of snow on the bare branch of mossy appletree, while the nigh thatch smokes in the sun-thaw;
whether the eave-drops fall heard only in the trances of the blast, for if the secret ministry of frost shall hang them up in silent icicles, quietly shining to the shining moon.”
